Your mind-bending theory of the day. Presumably, the holodeck on the Enterprise would be unnecessary if only the Enterprise had the capability to travel to the ends of the universe and if the ends of the universe would cooperate in allowing Picard to re-enact scenes from Gilbert & Sullivan pieces.
