Ah, Tolerance: A Continuing SeriesPosted by Pejman Yousefzadeh on Sun Aug 31, 2008 at 01:36:24 AM EST
According to former DNC Chairman Don Fowler, it is a wonderful thing that New Orleans and other parts of the United States are currently under a hurricane threat. Indeed, it is a sign that God favors Democrats, if Fowler's "thought" is to be believed.
Michael Moore feels the same way:
"I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven," Moore said, laughing. "To have it planned at the same time - that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities - at the top of the Mississippi River." Charming, eh? What are the odds that this makes the mainstream press? If we still have an objective media that is even remotely worthy of the name, it ought to be showing these clips on a regular basis, asking other Democrats what they think about having a former DNC chairman basically cheer on a hurricane for political purposes and then ask those same Democrats whether they still think it is a good idea to pay Michael Moore any attention whatsoever.
