Three Cheers For Poland

It is resolutely on the march when it comes to privatization. This should come as no surprise; havin spent decades burdened by the heavy hand of the state, it is entirely predictable that the Poles should be enthusiastic about privatization. But it is worth noting--if only to remind ourselves that we can also do something about excessive governmental regulation. Of course, I never thought that it would be necessary for the United States to take that lesson from former members of the Warsaw Pact, but there you have it.
