As Obama revealingly said just last week, "This painful crisis also provides us with an opportunity to transform our economy to improve the lives of ordinary people." Transformation is his mission. Crisis provides the opportunity. The election provides him the power.
Will Naomi Klein go on a weekend bender as a consequence of reading this comment? Because she should . . . unless she is fine with the Shock Doctrine so long as it is her side doing the Shocking.
And in this latter case, that would just further solidify her status as a hypocrite.
