Both Fearless Leader Pej and I are fans of the on- and offscreen Jane Galt, so I think he'll back me up and say, go over to her blog and give her some sympathy, as she has lost her beloved bull mastiff Finnegan. Anyone who has been able to meet Jane in real life recently got to see how much she adored that dog. If you didn't get the privilege, see this post and this post.
Everyone who has ever owned a pet either has gone through this or has to anticipate it; that doesn't make it any easier when it happens.
