Shunning The Demagogues

I have long said that no one on the Right is well-served by the antics of Ann Coulter. She is a hateful person whose sole political talent is to draw attention to herself rather than to the causes she supposedly espouses. This story is just the latest bit of support for the proposition that Coulter is useless at best and at worst, utterly dangerous when it comes to examining the value of her participation in the conservative movement.
Of course, it goes without saying that demagogues everywhere ought to be condemned and shunned. If we really want to stop our political discourse from looking like a circus, we will stop merely talking about shunning the demagogues and start doing it. Maybe then, those demagogues will come to realize that there is no market for their wares anymore.
