One of the mistakes made by conservatives and libertarians is to concede a large number of social policy issues to the other side of the partisan divide. This means that we effectively abandon the field when it comes to making policy regarding these social issues.
A key example of a policy issue that has not benefited from sufficient conservative and libertarian attention is the issue of fighting poverty. Great Society and War on Poverty programs have had their chance to end or seriously diminish the effects of poverty. And those programs have failed.
There is another way. Here is my proposal on how best to fight poverty.
