Oh, Give Me A Break

"Remarkable play"? The media got used in order to transmit Huckabee's negative ad while at the same time letting the candidate claim that he is taking the high road. This is one of the most cynical and hypocritical things I have seen in politics.
To think that a Presidential candidate could actually get away with this "I could put out a negative ad, but I have decided to take the high road; ain't I a wonderful guy!?!?" schtick while having the media applaud his supposed cleverness. And people wonder why the state of discourse has fallen to its current depths.
UPDATE: Ron Fournier properly points out that Huckabee "made himself the butt of his own joke."
