All of this, as I have mentioned before, continues to reinforce shock and disbelief at the state of the White House's communications and political operations. The arguments put forth in this editorial should have been put forth much, much earlier. Twain's commentary about a lie being able to travel halfway around the world before the truth even gets to put on its shoes comes to mind.
