But I happen to think that if you want to be considered a serious candidate for President of the United States, you have to have some appreciation for the concept of freedom. Said appreciation includes and encompasses the capability to realize that if one wishes to go on a jeremiad against corruption, one ought to realize that the disinfectant effect provided by free speech and free assembly--among other freedoms--is one of the best ways to help bring about a truly effective campaign against corruption. Moreover, it behooves one who wishes to be considered a serious candidate for the Presidency to realize that the choice set up between freedom and honest living is a false one, that one can be had along with and at the same time as the other and that if you think otherwise, the fault most likely lays with your rather shocking misconception of the issue at hand.
But that's just me . . .
